Understanding your 4WD vehicle

Purchasing a 4-wheel drive vehicle is a big step from your usual standard road car. You now have the opportunity to venture off the track and put your new car to the test. Each 4×4 wheel drive is different, so familiarise yourself with the vehicle manual before starting your journey. Understand the safe ways to switch your vehicle from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive without causing damage. Some older off-roaders require your front wheels to be unlocked before entering 4WD mode. Most 4WD vehicles have two 4×4 options, 4-wheel drive low and 4-wheel drive high. Selling a car with problems – The risks

Many people choose to upgrade to a newer car. They may want something bigger, better, faster, smaller or shinier. Whatever their decision it means they have the opportunity to place their existing vehicle on the second hand car market. If, however, you’re selling your vehicle because it’s riddled with problems, you should be upfront about them. Chris Evans Resigns

Wow only in our last post we were commenting on the new series of Top Gear, saying that Chris Evans is having a difficult time and he’s now resigned, after filming just 6 episodes. It’s fair to say that this just wasn’t a good match. Chris was trying too hard to be like Jeremy rather than being himself, and it’s going to be a very difficult job for anyone who steps in. Matt Le Blanc is set to stay and he’s had more positive feedback than Evans and perhaps he’ll have a say as to who comes in, because it’s going to be important to have a presenter who can bounce off him. He seemed to hit it off with Tiny Temper and that would be an interesting pair, but...

New Top Gear

If you didn’t catch the first episode of Top Gear in its new format with new presenters Chris Evans and Matt Le Blanc I wouldn’t rush. For those of you who quite like a few spoilers and want to hear how the first episode went at a glance, here it is: badly. Evans was trying way too hard and he never really cemented his actual opinion on any of the cars, and he was driving a Dodge! It almost felt like he was reading out press releases from the manufacturer. Matt Le Blanc wasn’t too bad but we’re talking about Joey from friends here. I think it’s safe to say that Clarkson, May and Hammond were watching this together in hysterics and they certainly won’t be worried when their new...

An ideal car for a young driver

Young drivers are passing their driving tests every week, but once they’ve reached their driving accomplishment, they soon have to decide on the type of car they would like. The vehicles student drivers usually learn in are typically very good cars for beginners, and there is a reason why driving instructor choose those cars. Economically they have to be sound, this is especially the case for young driver who may be just starting out their careers, and with the high cost on insurance premiums, and they’re likely need to save every penny they can. There’s no doubt that insurance is an issue for young drivers, and this is why hatchbacks are often chosen. They tend to have smaller engines, making them lower on insurance whilst tax can also be cheaper...
