Pricing for the 2014 Kia Sorento was revealed: the bottom front-drive, four-cylinder Sorento LX model starting at $24,950 including destination, while the head-of-the-line all-wheel-drive Sorento SX-L (Limited) V-6 model starts at $40,550. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, and all-wheel drive is accessible on any trim and with the I-4 or V-6, at a price of $1700.
With front-drive 2014 Sorento LX’s $24,950 base price, the entry price for the Sorento is $950 greater than the 2013 Sorento. For 2014, the 175-hp2.4-liter four-cylinder was dropped, making the previously optional 191-hp 2.4-liter direct-injected four-cylinder engine standard. Seventeen-inch alloy wheels, side mirrors with LED indicators, and stain-resistant cloth seats are standard on LX models and third-row seating is an $800 option. Though the four-cylinder 2014 Sorento is now only available in LX trim, the midsize crossover could be loaded with packages that push the value just beyond $30,000 before adding all-wheel drive.
Three option packages come in for 2014 Sorento LX four-cylinder models. The $2000 Convenience Package adds UVO eServices, second-row sunshade, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, roof rails, rear sonar, heated front seats, fog lamps and floor mats. An available $2600 Premium Package (requires Convenience Package) includes leather seats, eight-way power driver’s seat, push-button start, interior accent lights, a more advanced instrument cluster display, rear spoiler, and exterior front door pocket lighting. The 2014 Sorento LX V6 model starts at $26,550 – $1600 greater than the LX I-4 – and includes silver roof rails. A $2600 Convenience Package for the LX V6 includes an identical equipment as at the LX I-4’s package, plus rear air con, a 3rd-row seat, and an influence driver seat with lumbar support.
The $30,850 Sorento EX V6 model adds 18-inch wheels, illuminated door handles, fog lights and LED marker lights within the headlight cluster, rear spoiler, dual climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, Kia’s UVO system with backup camera, push button start, seven-inch instrument cluster display, backup warning, leather first- and second-row seats, and heated front seats with eight-way power driver’s seat standard.

Third-row seating with rear aircon is out there with the Touring Package for $1000.
Standard equipment at the $35,850 Sorento SX includes machine-finish 19-inch alloy wheels, chrome trim and exhaust pipes, front and rear chrome steel accent plates, shiny front grille trim, LED taillamps, panoramic moonroof, chrome roof rails, FlexSteer selectable steering, rear air-con, navigation with eight-inch screen and real-time traffic, 10-speaker speakers, illuminated chrome steel scuff plates, programmable power liftgate, cooled front seats, and 4-way power front passenger seat.
