Thread of the Day: Which Vehicles Are the simplest to change
Written by: Karla Sanchez [G+] on January 30 2013 4:30 PM
Car modifications could make a vehicle go faster or handle better, especially in case you have already got an awesome platform to construct upon. Take the AMS-tuned Alpha 12 Nissan GT-R for instance, which boasts power upwards of 1500 ponies – up an astounding amount from the stock twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6’s output. The Scion FR-S is another prime example, considering the automobile’s chief engineer wanted blueprints released to tuners before it was launched. Clearly, the car was designed with modification in mind.
We were ready to sample three variations of the FR-S’s cousin, the GT-86, and all were quite delicious. However, not all vehicles yield an identical results. Turning a car into something it was never meant to be isn’t always really useful, and nor is aimlessly adding or removing parts – an act that could ruin a car both mechanically and visually. Some cars just beg to be tuned, while others are stock. Popular vehicle suggestions inside the original forum thread include the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang, while others said Hondas and the Mazda6 are poor candidates for modification.
Let us know which cars you believe are best to switch within the comments below, and due to TAF for uplifting today’s Thread of the Day!
