Watch a Lamborghini Reventon, Nissan GT-R, and Ducati 1098 Race

What do you do with several high-performance vehicles and an extended straightaway Well, Motor Trend readers already know what we did over the past two Best Driver’s Car events: you organize a multi-car drag race. And that’s exactly what the crew on the BHP Project did with a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster, Nissan GT-R, and Ducati 1098 sport bike.

The Reventon is rated at 693 hp, while the GT-R was tuned to 580 hp and launch control have been updated to that during the 2013 model. Within the first race, the Reventon’s poor launch ended in a race for first place between the GT-R and Ducati. The Ducati opted out of the second one race, and despite the Lamborghini’s better launch; it wasn’t enough to overcome the mighty Nissan. In a last effort, the third race between the all-wheel-drive supercars raced from a rolling begin to see which car pulled the appropriate in the course of the entire rev range.

Although the acceleration times aren’t provided inside the video, now we have quarter-mile results from similar vehicles we’ve tested. Throughout the World’s Greatest Drag Race from the 2011 Best Driver’s Car event, the 530-hp Nissan GT-R posted an 11.2-second quarter-mile at 121.8 mph, beating 10 competitors including the Ferrari 458 Italia and Audi R8 GT. Godzilla returned to our 2012 Best Driver’s Car event packing 545 hp; helping it run the quarter-mile in 11.1 seconds at 124.8 mph within the World’s Greatest Drag Race 2 against eight competitors. That number was adequate for a 3rd-place finish behind the McLaren MP4-12C and primary place 691-hp Lamborghini Aventador that ran the quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds at 132.3 mph.

So, which all-wheel-drive supercar won the rolling-start race Look at the video below to determine!
